Our Jacksonville team knows you’ll have plenty of questions, and we’re glad to assist. Read below to see some of your most frequently asked questions answered.
How do I find the best place to get orthodontic work done?
Finding the right orthodontist can feel overwhelming, but it’s easier when you know what to look for! Start by asking friends or family for recommendations.
Then, browse online to find a practice nearby. Once you’ve found a few that look promising, check out reviews, patient testimonials, credentials, years of experience, and the services offered. These are all important aspects of a practice that will ensure you get the care you need.
At Ortega Orthodontics, we encourage prospective patients to schedule a consultation with us. This lets you meet the team, explore your options, and decide what’s best for your smile. We’re proud to offer advanced orthodontic care in a friendly, welcoming environment.
How can I book an appointment online with an orthodontist?
Scheduling an appointment at our Jacksonville orthodontic practice is fast and easy, thanks to our user-friendly website. Just scroll to the top of the page and click the dark blue “Request an Appointment” button at the top right of the screen.
You’ll be directed to a quick online form where you can input your contact information, preferred time, and reason for your visit. Once we receive your request, we’ll follow up with a confirmation email and any additional details.
Of course, if you'd prefer to talk to someone, we encourage you to do so! Calling ahead is always the fastest way to set up your appointment if you can call during business hours.
What do you do if you can't afford an orthodontist?
At Ortega Orthodontics, we truly believe that cost shouldn’t stand in the way of achieving your ideal smile. We work with several major PPO insurance providers to help reduce your out-of-pocket costs for orthodontic care.
In addition to insurance, we're happy to discuss a flexible payment plan designed to fit with your budget. We’ll walk you through your options and find a solution that will help you get the care you need without breaking the bank.
We understand that orthodontic work is an investment in your health and self-confidence. If you’re feeling unsure about the cost, please reach out. We’ll be glad to support you every step of the way.
What level of education is required to be an orthodontist?
To become an orthodontist, a dentist must complete a four-year dental degree followed by an additional 2–3 years of specialized orthodontic training. This postdoctoral education focuses on diagnosing and correcting alignment issues.
Dr. Holland’s credentials go even further. He was selected to complete a rare five-year dual-specialty program in both prosthodontics and orthodontics at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. This makes him one of approximately ten such specialists in the entire United States!
At Ortega Orthodontics, you’re receiving care from someone with exceptional training and a deep commitment to your smile’s health and appearance. Whether you need traditional braces or Invisalign in Jacksonville, you’re in great hands!
